I would suggest you to first go through topical papers and when you are done with those papers(with confidence) then try past papers(mixed as usual). This will help you a lot. -

I guess it would be: P reduction=V1^2-V2^2 /(V1)^2 multiplied by 100. [As P ∝ V^2]. -

For 2(b)ii Distance traveled at final position= 90cm= 0.9m Now, s=(1/2)*a*t^2 or, 0.9=0.5*9.8*t^2 So, t=0.43s [ t= Total time ] Again Form (ii) t1=0.40s [ t1= The time the ball fall before the photograph was taken] Now, Time interval(t2)= t - t1 = 0.43 - 0.40 = 0.03 s I hope you are clear now. -

I don't think there is variant 2 nowadays in Chemistry and Physics Paper 3. There is variant 1 and then 3, 4, 5, 6 no variant 2. And there is no much difference between variants. These are just questions papers for different countries with different questions but usually the questions are from... -
