    the reason why u got 281 is because u r using the wrong formula :D the formula is A=P(1+ (r/100))^n where A is the total amount after n years :D And also the question is just asking for the interest. so u will have to minus 280 from ur answer to get the interest :)

    move P on the left side. so it becomes A-P= (1+r/100)^n Now, take under root of n on both sides. then move 100 to left side. and then move 1 to left side :D done :3 lol did u get it? :3
