They're both acceptable, but the preferred product is SiO2 C = CH2(OH)CH(OH)COOH E = CH3COO- C+E = esterification. CH2(OOCCH3)CH(OOCCH3)COOH. Another way of writing this is CH2(OCOCH3)CH(OCOCH3)COOH but this OCO shiz always confuses me so I stick to the OOC usage. -

Best pen for writing smoothly?
I gave all my Olevels using an ink pen primarily because that's what I was comfortable with back when I did. You're not recommended to use an ink pen because unlike ball point 'gel' the ink pen 'ink' can be ruined by weather (storage conditions) and spills. __ If theres one thing I've learnt...- AbbbbY
