    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

    it's the big one, substitute any point eg. -1-i |z| < |z − 2 − 2i| |-1-i| < |-1-i -2-2i| |-1-i|< |-3-3i| square root 2 < 3 square root 2 and -1-i is below the bisector, so you shade the big one. unless I'm doing something really wrong

that is correct, except you use dotted lines for both the circle and the y=2-x line because its < not smaller or equal to. You shade the bottom part of the circle, that is the quarter circle occupied in 2, 3 and 4 quadrant and shade the area below the y=2-x line (the triangle) in the first quadrant.

    dy/dx= e^(2x+y) = e^(2x) * e^y e^(-y) dy = e^(2x) dx -e^(-y) = 0.5e^(2x) + c substitute x=0 y=0 -1 = 0.5 + c c= -1.5 -e^(-y) = 0.5e^(2x) - 1.5 e^(-y) = -0.5e^(2x) + 1.5 -y = ln(3-e^(2x)/2) y = ln(2/(3-e^(2x))

yup, by switching off tumor suppressor genes the proto-oncogenes are activated turning into oncogenes that proliferate instead of dieing.

For A level biology this is true because the out of all the chemicals we learn (Carbon Monoxide, Tar, Nicotine), tar is actually the only carcinogen. Of course there are lots more, like the radio active isotopes, benzyl compounds. Since tar only settles on the epithelial cells (like 99% of the...

When you see "Pulmo" it is related to the lungs, in this case you're half right. The pulmonic valve is the semilunar valve between the pulmonary artery and the right ventricle. Bicuspid = mitral valve semilunar valves are valve between arteries and ventricle. (aorta/left ventricle) (pulmonary...

np, just ask if you have any questions. I'm too lazy to find interesting/challenging questions myself to tutor my mate tomorrow.

nearest mm doesn't mean the table has to be in mm. eg. 0.582m is to the neariest mm because 0.582m =582mm it has to be in nearest mm because thats the smallest scale the metre rule reads to.

    answer is E, because parallel circuits. so V across the 5ohm 3ohm line is 3V. and I = V/R which is I = 3/(5+3) = 3/8

pd is 2.7 because V = V(total) x resistance (thermistor) / resistance (total) = 4.5 x 1800 / (1200+1800) = 2.7 this is a potential divider. and it doesnt matter if its a galvanometer or voltmeter or not, because the potential is equal so potential difference is 0.

judging from the fact that you asnwered part A, you know its a sinusoidal stationary wave and X has same amplitude as Y. But at any instant they are moving in opposite direction so they're 180 degrees out of phase.

    1. Animals (catfish) use energy not only from growth (increase biomass), but also from respiration, excretion and many other living processes, so only some parts of the energy is used to increase the biomass. 2. Now you compare the data, 15%-20% energy used to increase biomass if the fish...

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

in order to let the right hand side rise, there needs to have an increase in pressure at R 1 is correct because the reaction is endothermic, so forward reaction is favoured by the increase in temperature so more 2NF2 is formed, hence more pressure. 2 is wrong because CH3NC(g) -> CH3CN(g) they...
