Ok, this I may be wrong about but read my other post.

    Biology Paper 1

The question was not about whether vasodilation occurs in that situation. Rather it asked whether it would contribute to heat loss by body, which in this case I think its contribution would be negligible because of the temperature difference between the skin and the air.

    Biology Paper 1

In the question it was mentioned that the air temperature was greater than core body temp. Core is higher than surface temp. If the outside temperature is higher, heat exchange through skin by convection which is the main process can't occur as the air is warmer than the skin.

    Biology Paper 1

Yes, but CIE mentioned air temperature instead of body temperature. There might be a reason for that.

    Biology Paper 1

Yes, it is the right answer.

    Biology Paper 1

From what i remember, the question was that the air temperature is greater than core body temperature. Which of the following can increase heat loss from body.

Read my other post where I linked some info. It suggests that answer should have been cross tick cross

http://coachsci.sdsu.edu/csa/vol36/rushall1.htm During exercise the body produces a great deal of heat. In extreme circumstances this can elevate its core temperature from 37° C to beyond 40° C. When the surrounding air is cool heat can be lost from the body by the process of radiation (transfer...

I remember evaporation being mentioned. I also marked mesophyll as the answer

    Biology Paper 1

First two were wrong because they had shivering ticked. C was shivering cross sweating tick vasodilation tick. D was shivering cross sweating tick and vasodilation cross.

    Biology Paper 1

I got confused by the wording of the question. It said the air temperature was higher so I thought that there would be no heat transfer through skin.

    Biology Paper 1

I think I am the only one who did cross tick cross :(

What did you do in the question of air temperature is greater than body temperature?

    Biology Paper 1

Would someone clarify what the answer to the new organism question was? I wrote Bacteria and Virus but some of my friends said that the question said the organism was made up of cells, meaning it could not be a bacterium.

    Biology Paper 1

The graph is over a large time period(24 hours) so at that moment when O2 concentration just reached lowest levels photosynthesis was not occurring.

Water eggs option. Warmth and CO2 attract them to humans.

Actually, it was C, Oestrogen I think.
