    Physics practical 33

Hey guys, sitting for my physics practical 33 tomorrow. I would like to know what equipment is required for the practical(doing a last-min check up) and is it necessary to wear a lab coat during the practical? Also, it says that the reporting time is 9 am yet the practical commences at 12pm...

AS math 9709/May June/2018/ Paper 12 Hard Or Easy?

Maths qp12 was very easy, medium prep and a bit of thinking could've got you full marks. The toughest question was the one I mentioned above, the f(x)=k has no solutions

AS math 9709/May June/2018/ Paper 12 Hard Or Easy?

yup the range was 0 till 146 and 323 till 360. Your answers for no solution is slightly incorrect. k<3 but your k>7 is wrong. The answer was k<3 and k>11. Try doing it again. F(x) = 4cox+7 and f(x)=k has no solutions

Don't worry dudes, you can make up for any lost marks in m1. M1 thresholds vary depending on how tough the papers are but for variant 2, they are usually low(below 40). So study hard over the next 2-3 days and you should be fine!

    Mathematics: Post your doubts here!

It was 64pi - 160pi/3 = 32pi/3. You must have made a mistake in finding the volume of the curve when rotated... most likely that occurred due to the squaring of the equation.

Maths s18 qp12 was piss easy guys... i expect the thresholds to be like 60 for an A for that paper. If you had medium prep and read the questions properly, you could've got full. The only challenging question was 4(ii) where they asked about what were the set of values for which f(x)=k gives no...

    9709 MATHS MARCH 2018 PAPERS OUT !

The thing was that people would think about using b^2-4ac <0 on that question, but that cannot be applied since there is no a, so the whole equation becomes 0. U had to think about the max and minimum values of a cosx graph and use that concept to replace x with -1 and +1 and find the relevant...

    9709 MATHS MARCH 2018 PAPERS OUT !

s18 qp12 was really easy, just one tricky question which was related to set of values, i think it was q4(ii). It asked about giving values of k for which F(x)=k has no solutions. K was a constant while f(x)= 4cox-7
