No, it's not. And check out this link: http://www.aku.edu/admissions/registraroffice/Pages/Admission-Calendar-2013-Pakistan.aspx I hope all your queries have been answered. :)

NSTC-10|Gateway to International Science Olympiads! (Pakistanis Only)

Yes, I participated twice in Mathematics and Biology. The questions are difficult but they are do-able. There are some fsc questions but most of the test is conceptual. If your O'levels and A1 concepts are good, you won't have a problem getting shortlisted.

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

You must have 8A*s in the required subjects to get the perfect equivalency of 810/900. The compulsory ones are English, Urdu, Maths, Pakistan Studies and Islamiat. And for an equivalency in science you must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Computing. Plus, if you scored A*s in the...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

"The conclusion is simply that it is not statistically significant to assume that those who score lower on the FSc are always going to score higher on the MCAT but that a high FSc score is not a guarantee to a high MCAT score" According to this conclusion you separate the whole data into two...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

You are not getting my point. I agree that only the relative data should be studied. But if the data you left out could directly effect your conclusion, then not including it makes the whole statistical analysis a futile excercise.

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

You can't be sure. A significant portion of students with FSC marks 880-920 have not made it to medical colleges because of their low MCAT marks. The reduction in the gradient will be significant enough to neutralize the disparity. So to prove your initial conclusion, you have to include the...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

This is where the problem arise. The negative correlation occurs because you didn't both sides of the group with low fsc scores. It might not be relative to the equation but this makes your conclusion biased for the ones with high marks because a large proportion of this group has been included...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

It totally depends on what you define as low FSC marks or high MCAT marks. You are only considering those who made it to the medical universities and not the whole population who appeared in FSC and MCAT. So those who you define as the ones with low FSC marks, must have higher marks in MCAT to...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

Like I mentioned above, 10% of data comprises of A'levels students and I believe that is enough to make the data error prone. Though, I still agree with your conclusion. But I believe that the explanation behind this negative correlation is not 'lack of energy and over confidence' as you put it...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

I also want to clear another confusion among people here. I believe that A'levels students have an almost equal chance of making it to Medical colleges as compared to FSC students. I observed that almost 30 students out of the 303 are from Alevels in KE. And almost the same number is found in...

UHS MCAT (all resources compiled here)

The reason behind the negative coorelation is not lack of preparation or loss in concentration but the difference in the patterns of the test. FSC marks consist of several different kind of papers. While MCAT is totally MCQ based which actually requires you to have a sound grasp of the concepts...

University College London VS National University of Singapore

I would recommend you to ponder over this question once you get accepted at both the universities. Right now focus on completing the requirements required to get admission. You need SATs for NUS so getting a good score should be your first priority.

Can i appear in an entry test?

AKU's admission process has changed a bit in the past two years. The 2013 AKU test will be held by the end of June after your A'levels exams. The registration process will start in March 2013. Obviously, you can appear in it and still apply to other universities. See this for AKU's admission...

University College London VS National University of Singapore

This is a very tough question. Different people will have different opinions regarding this so it might be really difficult to differentiate between the two universities when it comes to academics. Both are good in their own way. But you can make your choice using a totally different context...
