Oil:- it mainly occurs in dome shaped anticlines between two layers of non-porous rocs... the oil is trapped in the antcline with gas above and water below.....

As u know oil is normally trapped underground..Occasionally it has been known to leak up to form puddles on the surface.....nowadays, wells are drilled and a derrick (drilling rig) is set up on it....it pumps the oil out of the ground or sometimes the oil spurts out itself due to high pressure...there are certain valves installed with the pipes to control the rate of oil flow....
