I put its a neutralisation reaction [acid base reaction]. Sio2 [acid] reacts with CaO to form calcium silicate [neutal substance]

the equation was 2PbO + C = 2Pb +CO2
so 446 g of pbo reacts with 12 g of c
and so..on........

Why the CaO reacts with SiO2?

• SiO2 is an acidic oxide while CaO is a basic oxide so they neutralize each other
