There's no secret. :p
If you're aiming for 100% then there is the element of luck AND concentration. I had a near perfect Maths paper except that I made a mistake in FACTORIZING, I factorized 68 instead of 78 (I know, that luck). It was the only mistake I made in both papers combined.

So, practice past papers until you're good enough and confident enough to do any question. Then, it's just about how well you concentrate and pull it off on exam day.

I mean, i almost get 99/100 in paper 2, if i don't make a silly mistake, and full in paper 1 as well, sometimes.
Would solving all the unsolved papers improve that to guarantee a distinction? Because even after doing that, there can be a mistake on the paper day. ._.

About your mistake. Didn't you recheck the paper? And how many past papers did you do?
Saad Mughal
Saad Mughal
Exactly. No matter how many you solve, you're bound to make a silly mistake if it's not your day. The same happened with me, I practiced every single paper, made the silliest of mistakes on paper day.

I didn't recheck THAT particular question, I had 10 minutes for rechecking so I skipped the first two questions (since I thought I couldn't possible do them wrong) and turns out I did a mistake in them. Just my luck. I solved Classified, the whole book.

So, even solving the entire Classified, a distinction can simply not be guaranteed for someone. ._.

Did you do the same for Physics and Chemistry? I mean, were you preparing for distinctions in those subjects?
