ribosomes are also present in eukaryotes :)

So wat lola
I agree that ribosomes are also present in eukaryotes but they have mainly 80S ribosomes byt prokaryotes have 70S ribosomes
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
:D i knw sweetheart
but theres 70s n 80s ribosomes which r present in prokaryote n eukaryote respctively. so ths also determines if its pro or eu
so y not answer is D!!! :/

♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
I think mark scheme is wrong coz I searched on net to and each and every site says prokaryotes have ribosomes which can be taken as a diff while comparing it to eukaryotes.
Lola_sweet
Lola_sweet
But still they want a feature present in one nt the other
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
-_- lolita leave it would u :D
yeah magna thts wht im saying.

♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
Rookaaya MARK SCHEME IS WRONG :D
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
i think i got it !! :D
actually its right! there is different ribosome. but here it asked features in the sense tht wht U SEE. like when u see it wht tells u the difference. so its only the circular DNA. n not the ribosome. coz ribosome in pro n eu lOOKS the same.
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
So lola wat was solution?
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
Than why not cell wall :O
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
mark scheme is right. the quest is tricky.
sorry if u felt bad lola. i dint mean to sound like tht. so yeah wht was the solution in clasS?
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
Rookaaya WHY NOT CEL WALL? :O
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
thts y! coz of wht i said.
the difference its asking here is for wht feature VISIBLE!!!
u cnt say a cell wall is of murein or cellulose when u SEE it. n same goes for ribosome. u cnt say its 70s or 80s when u SEE it :)
its a tricky quest.
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
Means you can say that you can see that small circular DNA o_O
You are wrong.
RoOkaYya G
RoOkaYya G
-_- *bangs head on table*
yeah u can see it with microscope. its free lying circular DNA
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
♣♠ Magnanimous ♣♠
Which features enable an organism to be identified as a prokaryote?
This sentence doesn't mean ki wat features are visible with microscopic..
