sorry! i gave you the wrong explanation. if an equation has a reactant that is oxidised, the other will definitely be reduced. if one is present, the other is present too.

HELLO!
I was checking my physics paper 3 and the question which says energy conversion to other form I wrote a car accelerating..is it acceptable...in my book it's written like this....a car accelerating-----chemical to kinetic and heat...?

Hi!
i really don't know, but I wrote the change and then mentioned the change in brackets.:D

I wrote the chane is chemical to kinetic (and heat)..not sure if i wrote heat...so is there problem if it converts to more than one form of energy??

IGCSE O/L student
no, i don't think it's a problem. insha allah, it won't be a problem. :)

when they say "unsaturated", it means there is a double-bond between carbon atoms. so, B is the answer.

all the positive ions move towards the cathode, here sodium is more reactive, so it remains in the solution, so sodium hydroxide is formed at the cathode.
svenas
svenas
but why hydrogen not formed?
or it's formed and escape??

both are formed. but since you are sure chlorine is formed at the anode, you have no other choice.

i think u forgot the oxygen atom in the hydrocarbon. i faced the same prob. use that oxygen atom too.
svenas
svenas
yea but still not confident in this question .......maybe the hardest one I faced really!!!
BTW thanks aloot for replying!
