verbal debates are never really productive personally or socially ... without facts and links to peer-reviewed research all arguments are based upon logic which is something that has been done since the beginning of recorded history be it ancient Egyptian literature, Mesopotamian or Greek

so for that just read those books or that of current day philosophers, problem is that philosophy can NEVER really solve issues and now with advancement of technology cannot even raise the appropriate questions

without technical know-how, the correct questions that lead to further development of ideas cannot be asked, it is truly inquisitive ideas that lead to hypotheses, then research questions/statements, along with appropriate research methodologies leading to correct observations for data collections, ...

….to formulate a theory backed by facts while pointing out the caveats in a particular theory or research which ultimately leads to direction for future research, without all that there is nothing lay-people or even philosophers can contribute that will have any serious impact to solve the most difficult to answer questions about existence and consciousness, etc

ultimately these questions can be solved by scientists, anyone who has read enough research papers and enough philosophy would realize that, the reason why I responded to individuals over here is that their comments revealed how little they have been exposed to ideas that challenge their assumptions,
