    Mechanics paper 5 discussion

Yes I got the differential equation after many attempts. Now the circular motion, I'm pretty sure my answers are the same as yours. And same for the h as well, I think that was 0.2828, so yeah.

    Mechanics paper 5 discussion

First part, it asks for the speed when the acceleration is zero. So the tension in the string must be equal to the weight, to give a resultant force of zero and hence no acceleration. So you equate the tension with the weight, the weight being 2.4 N (or 0.24g) and the tension being *lambda*x /...

Can you explain the procedures for the A Level exams?

Well for AL Mathematics, there are 4 papers to take. 2 are compulsory on all candidates, and you are given a choice of 4 from which you choose the other 2 papers. For Math you do not answer on the question paper. You are given an answer booklet where you write out your answers with all the...

    MECHANICS IS TORTURE. -___-

I just want to clarify something. The coefficient of friction can in fact exceed 1, but that's rare. Not impossible, not wrong.

    Anybody else do Math P32???

My friend I did the exact same thing. I got -1/2. May I also add that I went over it very carefully, and made sure it was the correct answer. I don't know but many people seem to be certain it's -2.

    AS Chemistry Paper 2 N07

I need help people. In October/November 2007 paper 2 AS chemistry question 1 b) ii), the question asks to draw sketches of the orbital overlap that produces sigma bonding in the hydrogen and hydrogen chloride molecules. I've checked the mark scheme but it does not include a sketch. Please if you...

    0625 Physics Paper 3 Discussion

Because velocity is changing yes, it is 'accelerating' because the direction is changing even though the speed may be constant. And the force acts towards the center of the circular path.

    0625 Physics Paper 3 Discussion

Yes it should be 0 A. That's because since there is a capacitor before it, the capacitor will store all the charge supplied by the battery, so the ammeter won't detect any.

    0625 Physics Paper 3 Discussion

You will definitely get part of the mark, most of it actually. I am not sure how much it was out of, but at most, you will lose just 1 mark, if any.

    0625 Physics Paper 3 Discussion

Nope, nothing of the sort. You had to 'deduce' the total resistance from certain positions which switch S can be in. But no filling in missing resistances.

    0625 Physics Paper 3 Discussion

It was not 200 kg. The total upward force by the liquid, was 8000 N, which was just enough to lift the car. Each of the stands weighed 1000 N, so together both stands weighed 2000 N. Now, the weight of the car and the stands MUST equal 8000 N, so the weight of the car is 8000 - 2000 = 6000...

Biology !! Really Need Help !!

Now to keep it simple, it's almost impossible to predict the chapters from which it will appear, as you can theoretically conduct experiments on almost every topic available in the syllabus. However, to save time, if you're doing the extended syllabus, there's no need to study all of it. Check...
