    Accounting Discussion

    Hm I got your reply on my email but not here. I'll reply anyway. What you said: Sales increases ? I thought it decreases ? (understated) so GPM should increase. (GPM is Gross Profit Margin, another name for the percentage). Wasn't goodwill intangible ? (that is, no numbers ?) It IS a fixed...

    I got the Gross Profit part. Thanks. ThatReallyReallyWeirdDude Now, if sales decreases, shouldn't GPM increase ? Sales is the denominator here. And as for Rate of Stock turnover, the correct answer is Increase.

    Accounting Discussion

    Guys, I'm having a bit of a problem here. In s10 variant 11, Q6(d) (including the answer) it says: Cash received from sales, $3400, had not been banked. This had been used to pay for additional purchases. No entries had been made in the books. In the table below, place a tick () under the...

    Chain rule. 2ln(x) * 1/x so 2ln(x)/x. I didn't know and had to test it out, it was right :D

    yeah. I couldn't get the second lambda. We had an equation for the perpendicular distance between a point and a plane so for a general point, I equated the distances point->plane1 and point->plane2. It was linear so I got only one lambda. How did you get the second one ?

    Didn't they provide a huge ass equation in the vectors question ? I substituted the general point P (with lambda) along with the plane substitutions, equated both sides and got it 3. I had no idea how to get the second point since it was only one lambda. I don't think I'll lose too much though.

    The one with the volume had integration by parts and the result was pi(e^2-1)/4. I'm sure it's right. I was too retarded during the exam to solve the differential equation so I missed 6 marks but I think it's just that. Anyone got the final vectors answer lambda = 3 ? I know there are two...

    How did mechanics go?

    As far as I can remember (and my calculator can :D): Q1 97.1 W Q2 4.25m Q3 1360N Q4 30 deg, 12N Q5 Range -> 0.7 < t < 1.2. Velocities 4, -1 Q6 T = 5N, mu = 4/7 Q7 0.132 m/s2 Please correct me if I'm wrong :)

    yes, it asked for velocities. You changed them to speeds. But just one mark :)

    MATHS P12

    For Q6, the angle between the tangent and the x-axis, I got the obtuse angle instead of the acute one (the question didn't state it needed the acute). Would I get the mark ?
