Let me make it clear that before A ranged from 80-100 but after A* ..A is 80-89 and A* is 90-100

C = 60+%
D = 50+%

They are very good grades man. Why are you worried about it.
I know that that A has been decreased from 90+ to 80+ but now I feel that they have increased the strictness of checking.

let me try to clear.

previously , A was not on 90 %,,it was always in the range around 82 %, 83% ,84 %(varies)
but there were some candidates who scored A's even on 94 %, 95 %, 96 etc

so basically, A * was introduced to differenciate those candidates who scored A's on 80 's and those students who scored A's on above 90 's

so in short
previously A was in the range of 80 % - 100 %
but now A is at 80 % - 89 % and A * is at 90 % - 100 %



SECONDLY,
this new grading system does not mean that A is having NO value and is just like B
A is having the same value as in the previous years
but A * is having a littile more higher value than A

My friend told me that A* was there previously but on a high %age like 95 or 97%. Is that true ?

A was and is made on 90th percentile and is always in these ranges ,82%,83%,84%,
