in nov 2010 q3 part b nd c , why not the opposite ?
like i said in b acid is used up nd in c to prevent co2 from escaping !

how come CO2 will be given off ?? there is a stopper !

hey, the ans to b is dat CO2 escapes because the gas cn escape wid the cotton wool on top (its not exactly a stopper) and even if the acid is used up, it will produce the same mass of products so ures is wrong 'nd n c the cotton wool is to stop the acid from escaping bcoz the reaction is fizzy
