Hello guys!
I didn't have sociology in o'levels but I took it in A'levels thinking that it would be a piece of cake but I was probably mistaken. :/
The area where I majorly lack is writing answers. I don't get what to write and how much to write. Can anybody explain me how long should a 20 mark essay be? or how many points should it has? and anything else that's necessary to consider when writing answers.

I got a test last week but I couldn't score good. The question was:
Critically evaluate the Marxist perspective. Is there any need of this approach in the modern society? [20 marks]

I wrote almost everything that I knew about marxism, yet I got a 'D'. The teacher said that I didn't get the question and that I deviated from what was demanded. I'll be highly grateful if somebody could post a model answer on this question.
Thankyou :)

It might sound weird but why don't you have an open discussion with your teacher? She can well guide you on what does this subject and the examiners require from you. Also that see the sample paper if CIE has, (which i think it must have) check out websites , there are plenty of them. pouring everything you know on the paper is not the route to get an A. Specially when it comes to CIE, (oh i bet they're technical people) have some extra time with your teacher and tell her you are serious about some help. Best of luck ! (y)
