I wrote a poem quite a time back
Sharing it with you
The Wait
So long have I waited so long still to wait
My eyes were now collapsing
For I did not deserve this cruel fate
I struggled up again and opened my eyes
And saw all around me peoples smile
Much the same, as frozen as mine
I could read through what their outside show
Much the same, they could read through mine
I know what every person wished
Much the same, the wish of mine
“I would wait let it be the end of the world”
And in the eyes of people around me lie
Much the same, the determination as mine
And when the wait just seemed as eternity
The lids were removed, clueless to what took so long
For it was 2 o’clock at night and I in a marriage ceremony
and the people all around me rushed towards the food
Much the same, the way of mine.
