I had two problems in the marble statue question....first the assumption i have made in calculating the height of the statue.
Second : Why should the conductor be taller than the statue?

For the assumption i've put that cross-sectional area of wire stays constant through all the wire length .
and for explaination with conductor i think it's becasue conductor will be able to absorb all the energy of lighting and therefore there wil be no damage given to statue)))
