on the boiling points of the alcohols:

Hydrogen bonding isn't the only intermolecular force in alcohols. There are also van der Waals dispersion forces and dipole-dipole interactions.

The hydrogen bonding and the dipole-dipole interactions will be much the same for all the alcohols, but the dispersion forces will increase as the alcohols get bigger.

Why wont the hydrogen and the dipole-dipole interaction increase As the size increase

hydrogen bonds depend on presence OH groups even wen Mr increases the OH group remains same ... no?
similarly dipole dipole depends on exposing of poles ... so itx almost da same thing!!!

similarly dipole dipole depends on exposing of poles----> this part doesnt the explosure increases as the chain increases wait you mean to say that alcohol tail is non-polar well only at the fuctional grp there is dipole which remain the same..... rght thanxxxxk ;D
