how do we do the effect and meaning question? (urgent) // English Language (1123)

I was doing some revision past pers when I stumbled upon these "effect and meaning" questions. At school, we mainly did the older past papers and these questions didn't appear and our teacher never really explained how to do these questions. Can someone please tell me how to do them accurately? I will be extremely grateful!!
