Is it ok to take edexcel AS and cambridge A2? Can I? Will I still be able to get an A*?

Hey so right now I'm taking edexcel AS for biology, chemistry, and math and I want to know if it's okay to switch to Cambridge for A2. Will I have to start over from AS Cambridge? Can I still get an A*?
