Is it okay to exceed the lines on the reading comprehension part of English?

I tend to write a lot. I asked my teacher and she said it was fine, but then I researched and found that it was not okay? If it's actually not acceptable, is the whole answer going to be wrong? Or is it just that the answers below the line aren't read, and only the answer on the line is checked? I need help

Are you talking about paper 21?
Usually examiners will mark everything even if out of the spaces.

However, question 3 for example which has limited words if you exceed you don't get the 5 marks for quality of writing or something
