just copy the image, delete the text (place image here) paste the image, then right click on the image go to picture properties resize the image to the required specifications of the question......and thats it

but how do I know when exactly its HALF of the picture?
and so I just drag and drop the picture and dont do anything on the LAYOUT at the top?

I posted my document and the layout part that i was referring to!

chose the text wrapping for the picture square and it will fit itself to the half of the width of the column.. that's how it does
