1. aqueous KMNo4*(purple in colour) is put in burettePlease can someone explain me this.......Thankx in advance
1. aqueous KMNo4*(purple in colour) is put in burette
2. dilute H2so4(Sulfuric acid) is put in conical flask and is heated at 70 degrees
3. aqueous KMno4 is put in the conical flask drop by drop containing H2so4
4. The KMNO4 is put in the flask drop by drop as the drop falls it changes from purple to colourless . the cloulr change helps us to identify the end point of the reaction!
5. As soon as end point is reached the solution in flask turns Purple, this is the end point !
6. Titration is complete
I hope this would help.Still if you dont understand feel free to ask![]()

And i think using and aqueous solution of a compound containing Fe 2+ ions is better as its helps to understand the concept of this reaction as iron is oxidized to Fe3+ ions nevertheless its correct what u wrote as well !![]()
