Okay so in part (b) the sequence is similar to that of part (a), the only exception being the first term. So you only have to alter the formula slightly and make it 1/2 (n+1) (n+2) . When the question says "write down" it's usually a hint that no working is required. So you've got to think in which way you can alter the formula. Just a mental trial and error. :)
