I usually scan my solution and post the picture here but since my scanner is not connected to the computer you'll have to suffer with me. 
a) √(1-4x)=1-2x-2x²-4x^3
b)x=0.01
√(1-4*0.01)=√0.96.. To obtain √6 you have to multiply √0.96 with the square root of 6.25 as 6/0.96=6.25.
√6.25*√0.96=√6
√0.96=1-2*0.01-2*(0.01)²-4*(0.01)^3
√0.96*√6.25=(√6.25)(0.979796)
=2.5*0.979796
=2.44949
