Will i lose marks for measuring 0.1 extra in paper 6
for example in M/J 2009 question 10 (a) my answeer is 4.1cm but thew marking answeer is 4.0cm
Keep in mind that this 0.1 change, chnaged my last answeer to 0.15cm extra and that made my last answer worng
to which limits i can chnage the measuremnets ( unknonly of course )
and how can i avoid such mistakes???
any comments would be valueable..
thank you.

Re: Physics Paper 6 Measuring errors Answeer please

I remember when I was looking at the Markscheme , of another practical paper it said +-1 cm , or mm , stuff like that .. I doubt it is a problem to be honest ... but I am new to IGCSE so that concerns me as well.

How many siginificant figures does it mention? if it is 2 then you lost a mark , if it is 1 , then have no worries , if none at all ... I doubt they would do anything to it.

Oh , I am too lazy to open the Mark Scheme... , cheer up ... If you Approximate the answer , 4.1 will be 4.0 , Nothing wrong in it ... unless there is decimal and it will be used in an equation.

don't matter with the mark scheme...**** the mark scheme...mark scheme is just a document made for the teachers not for us..
that's not how our papers are corrected at cambridge.
