Q9(a) Mode= Number with highest frequency.
When mode= 0, this means that 0 has the highest frequency (i.e 'x' is the largest number in the "Number of teams" row). So 'x' must be greater than 5 (i.e 'x' can be 6, 7, 8.....etc. Simply any whole number greater than 5).
Since the question asks for the smallest possible value of 'x', therefore 'x'= 6 (Answer).

Q9(b) Median= The middle number.
This means that the numbers on either side of the median have the same total frequency. When median= 1, this means that total frequency on the left of the lower 1 (i.e 'x')= the total frequency on the right of the lower 1 (i.e 5+4+2).
Therefore 'x' = 5 + 4 + 2
'x' = 11 (Answer).
