2. Must be an extremely pious muslim
3. Should have absolute command over all 23 sciences. Some of them are
- science of Tafsir
- Hadis and its sciences
- Asbab e Nuzool
- Nasikh and Mansukh
- Arabic Language , Lexicology , Grammar and meanings
