at 1/2 Fo. an added pulse is provided to system which adds up to give larger amplitude, u can imagine a child swing , where after every half oscillation(trip) a person pushes the swing as in , 2 people are pushing from both the sides , this adds up their force i.e amplitude !u can consider constructive interference aswell.
i hope u got the idea i tried to deliver.
