What if you write more than required answers for a question?

What if you write 2 answers for say a question that only asks you to give one thingy. And one of them is correct. Will the examiner give you the mark or ignore it?

Oh my days ! No they won't, they will mark what they are looking for and leave anything else

in economics u have to do 3 questions out of 6
if u do more than 3 questions they r ignored.

if for eg in chemistry it asks give 1 use of terylene or polyester
and i answer in manufacturing textiles, ropes and aircraft bodies.
Aircraft bodies is wrong so will the examiner ignore it and mark the other answers or will the examiner just reject the whole answer
