simply.... formation of dimers

when sum molecules condense, dey join up in due to intermolecular forces, dis joining up cuz da forces btw da molecules are stronger in solid state (cuz da molecules r now closer) is called dimerization....

nopes! only wid certain ones..... carboxylic acids n AlCl3 i think.... n a few oders... u basically need 2 kno abt da acids...
well.... when dey ask abt melting n boiling pts (or y dis is solid at rtp) den v say dat substances have a higher mp cuz dey can form dimmers... (if dat applies in da case)
