it marked the end of any possible hindu muslim unity which was further reinforced whsn within 6 months lahore resolution was passed.
congress had basically resighned to put preasure on the british if muslims had joined with them then preasure would have increased and independence would have been gained much earlier and even muslims would have had proper partition(no boundary probs)
