the Eng syllabus 1123 says :
Section 1: Directed Writing (30 marks)
• Candidates are presented with a task, e.g. write a letter, speech, report, article, fit for purpose and
relevant to the world of study, work or the community.
• Candidates should write 200–300 words to inform or persuade a particular audience.
• 15 marks are allocated for task fulfilment and 15 marks for language.

so where have other things gone ? the leaflet, brochures etc.
have i missed or they arnt mentioned?

*What* seriusly there is nothing like that ??...a teacher who has left skool talked abt them twice or thrice and we even practised brochures

i gues those things are in IGCSE syll, not in GCE o levels.

then listen, in its p1, there are only two type of writings
1. directed writing (letter report etc)
2. creative writing (composition, discriptive, narrative, argumentative etc)

its just that account is the simple *know how* of an evennt in which u dont include suspense and other features of an essay. Formal language is used.
e.g. of an account is the passages in news papers of minor events.
