I wrote same. So frnds wrote because of unfavourable conditionsIs it because they are not all saturated compounds?
Lets see what others say. I am still unsure about the saturation thing coz addition polymerisation need high end conditions which arent available to plants( like high pressure)I think it's because of the absence of unsaturated compounds.

Atomisation means atoms in gaseous state so you had to convert the Cl2 molecule in 2 Cl atoms by using bond energy of Cl2Chlorine is already a gas so no need of the atomisation energy![]()
