Extra Subjects For A levels?

Yes, GCSE is child's play and i believe i can cope with extra subjects if i intend to go to a good university. So your opinion ?

If u think u are gud in maths then take further maths as an extra subject

Bro,tbh American universities specifically Ivy's don't require you to get 7A's if you don't have a good sat score/extracurricular activities. Having further math in alevels will give the universities a good image of yours because its a honour level subject and basically is the first year maths of majority engineering schools. So I would say go for further as a sixth one and that would be enough also if you are planning to apply to ivy leagues. Make your extra curricular strong such debates/sports/community services/mathematics contest for engineering and not to forget ace the sats (2300+) on both

Please guide me as to which Extra Subjects I should take in A levels!
I currently have:
1-Maths
2-Physics
3-Chemistry
4-Computer Sciences
5-English Language

I took the EXACT same subjects last year bro! I gotcha, that's more than enough. English is very time consuming, not to mention Chemistry! Those are fine. I'd try fitting in further maths though (my school doesn't offer it and I wish I could have done it) - either by changing it for English or doing it as extra.

take as many as you can. A lvls isn't hard. and extracurriculars you'll find time for anyway. Don't take english lang take world history instead. You absolutely must take further. Its probably the only halfway decent A lvl subject. Eng Lang is pretty much useless. If you can, then manage 8 A lvls and do some decent stuff outside of school. Don't be scared of the SAT's. they're not hard at all....

They are more than enough but to be honest I'll tell you, you're putting yourself in a freaking lot of pressure but it depends on you.. What did you get in olevels?

That's an excellent result hope you get the same in the igcse exams as well
However I think u should wait till your results come before selecting the subjects for a levels

I want to change my school and the last dates are before the o level result comes out. And i have to do background study too for these subjects which is why i need to make my mind up early.

Then I think these 6 subjects are great
Don't take any more subjects otherwise the pressure will be too much and u won't be able to perform gud in all of them
However this is what I feel and is my opinion if u think u can take the pressure of more subjects than u should do it because you can judge yourself better

That is ideal if you want to be an engineer. I'd even remove History so you can ensure high grades in all other subjects. I thought too in Year 11 that A levels weren't going to be as hard as I found IGCSEs a piece of cake. Trust me, quality over quantity. 5 A's in relevant subjects look better than 4 A's and 2 B's if one of them is irrelevant!

Yeah, I'd agree with most of the above posters. You don't have to take history, but it's double credit, has a decent course load, and generally builds a person's writing and analytical skills - all factors that are crucial to getting into US unis.
Also, a word on A level CompSci. For one reason or another, it's not very highly thought of. If you have a personal passion for programming or computer stuff, then build on that outside of school. Its not really necessary to take comp sci. Any uni will appreciate some personal initiative more than good grades in the subject. Btw, college compsci is very algorithm heavy, and for that further math is probly the best prep.
