but dont we do all calculations based on the elementary charge? And if you divide all numbers by 1.6x10^-19, you'll see that all the values give whole numbers...Can you clear this doubt for me?

Yea sure you can do that too
but
as you can see the values given are not very accurate
infact most of them will give you a decimal

The highest common factor will be the answer and the value should also be a multiple of 1.6*10^-19.

So my explanation will be considered correct, right? The marking scheme only says 3.2x10^-19 and the examiner report just says many candidates failed to give an explanation...
