Know mole calculations... Energy calculations..

Apart from that
DON'T MESS UP WITH TITRATIONS.
Record burette readings to 2 dp & temp to 1 dp
They may give you a new indicator, be very careful about the colour change..
Try to include every sensible observation you make in your qualitative tests..

Draw tables up before carrying out the actual experiments. This will save you time as you do not have to copy your results again.
Try to allocate a specific amount of time to each question, e.g. 45 minutes for titration, 40 minutes for qualitative analysis, etc.
Wash apparatus before using them to get rid of any impurities.
If you have time, I recommend doing the qualitative tests twice to see if there are any observations you have missed. But do this only if you have sufficient time.
Practise calculations and revise improvement techniques to experiments, e.g. add lagging or use a lid to minimise heat loss.
Try to spot experiments where gases are likely to be released, e.g. when hydrogen peroxide is added oxygen would most definitely be released, if sodium hydroxide is added and the mixture is warmed the gas released is ammonia, etc.

Tip:
Perform graph at the end and do calculations at last. First perform all the experiments and note down results with pencil on side. Then use them into calculations. Dont forget to erase the things written in pencil and rewrite it with pen.

If you can do:
Remember we did in IGCSE learning tests and stuffs. In As level too, remember the tests and the last question in P34 can be solved very quickly.

It is not mandatory, but usually 1cm3 is enough to cause a colour change. However, avoid using volumes which are too large as a greater volume of the reagent would have to be added to cause a colour change.
