PHYSICS P 12. HOW WAS IT??

i finished 30 minutes early but still, 2~3 questions I had to guess

    Chemistry: Post your doubts here!

don't mind all the O2's and stuff... they're just there because I like to write everything in my head on paper when I'm solving problems so I don't make any mistakes...

9 is C because I'll just scan photo... everything that flows in one route has to equal the one that flows in another direction... Hess's law... the enthalpy change accompanying a chemical change is independent of the route at which the change occurs

I thought conversion from SO2 to SO3 could happen provided that there is NO2 in the atmosphere... represented in the equation SO2+NO2 ---> NO + SO3

    AS English Literature Paper 3

messed up hard... my analysis of passage for nervous conditions was wrong, but I waffled a bit my analysis of the poem... was really bad... I formed 3 stanzas but I chose wrong topic sentences which restricted the stuff that I analysed... really really bad...

    biology paper 1 doubts

What bonds are there in a DNA molecule? 1) Covalent Bonds (tick) 2) Hydrogen Bonds (tick) 3) Disulfide Bonds (?, probably no?) 4) Ionic Bonds (really not sure) 5) Hydrophobic interactions (tick) and where does phosphodiester bonds fit in? are they covalent bonds?

    biology paper 1 doubts

Q 17) B - it's not the growth of cells but the growth in the whole organism itself and for question 16 it's in the previous pages on the thread think of it this way oxygen is required for active transport, with nitrogen bubbled there would be no oxygen... now you find out which one it is...

Hello for the vibration thing, about the IV graph of a filament lamp... I checked one of the books and it doesn't say that the vibrations are getting "faster and further" like the picture on one the posts but the amplitude of the vibrations of the atoms/particles are getting bigger, making the...

Hello, I just wanted to ask a question... I've never seen the equation E=1/Lamda before... is it A2? it would be helpful if you could explain it, thank you

Okay it's just vibrations getting faster and further I think this explains everything for question 5 source: http://www.passmyexams.co.uk/GCSE/physics/images/Potential_Difference_graph_Filament_Lamp.jpg

For 5i) the filament lamps resistance increases due to the increasing current. As current passes through (the electrons or whatever not sure, collide with the particles or atoms of the stuff in the resistor and release heat energy... colliding is resistance I think) therefore heat energy being...

    Physics: Post your doubts here!

for 5dii) for a circuit to have infinite resistance, there must be ends of a wire that are not touching each other, and are at a short distance away. Therefore, no current flows. ( I'm not sure about this but it's something along this context) therefore the power must be zero P=VI P=I^2R etc etc

Yes it can react with carboxylic acid. It would look something like CH2CH3 | COOCCH3 or CHOCOCH3 (it says in the marking scheme like this but I don't know why) | CH2CH3 It's easier to think about it if u draw it sideways
