    One of the requirements for the poisson distribution is that "events must occur singly in space or time" (got it from the edexcel book page 24) Can someone please elaborate this point... I can't seem to understand this

    This was really helpful. However, I still don't get the part where the substance to be separated in steam distillation has to be "steam volatile and immiscible in water"... I do not understand why this is a requirement.
