f(x)=(x+3)/(2x+1) now, ff(x)=x LHS=f{(x+3)/(2x-1)} ={(x+3)/(2x-1)+3}/{2(x+3)/(2x-1)-1} =(x+3+6x-3)/(2x+6-3x+1) =7x/7 =x
