    Chemistry paper 1 doubts!!

    each compound has an oxidation number equal to zero, thus from this u can find the oxidation no,answer is D since V2O3... 2x +3(-2)=0,x=3, then V2O5... 2x+5(-2)=0,x=5.......thus there is an increase in oxidation no from 3 to 5, thus it has been oxidised

    Because copper does not react with acids, thus it does not form any ions-19 Because chorine is mor reactive than bromine, thus it displaces bromine ions to form bromine molecules which are brown in colour-20
