I think what he did deserves our respect.
I don't know if the person you have quoted is an Islamic scholar or not, but he shouldn't just make fun of acts like that. When someone burns insults our religion, we get angry. When someones respects it, we make fun.
Not in a mood of arguing, but that's what I feel.
