Nai i guess that is wrong. Istakhara should only be done jab koi baat apki aqal ya soch se bahir hojaye. That's where Istikhara comes in. Agar koi aesi baat hai jo ap decide kar saktay ho to there's no need for Istikhara there. Isilye hamain Aqal di gai hai. That's my point.

I'm talking about using Istikhara just for knowing k whether one should leave Xpc or not. This is not how it should be used.

I don't know I think it's right cuz she was not doing anything wrong and then the prophet himself said to do it for even the smallest thing

I've followed the Sunnah. I prayed Istikhara because the Prophet asked us to pray Istikhara even for the smallest of things :) Hope I made it clear.

As I said before, I haven't really heard that before. And Istikhara should be used where we are unclear as to what we should do, where a matter goes beyond our thinking. That's where Istikhara comes in, or else, why are we given our will, when all we are going to do is istikhara?
Please do give the reference of the Hadith if you have.
