I downloaded Avatar, but apart from visuals, its not good?

Not really. With cliched characters and plot, cheesy lines, "unobtanium" really?,copying from multiple storylines such as Pochahuntas and Dances with Wolves in space with more explosions, I ultimately found it boring and somewhat useless. I do have to commend its visuals. They are simple mind-blowingly amazing for its time. Even then, it looked more cartoony and not 'real'

District 9 had so much better and more realistic visuals.This one was released in the same year. See both to know what I mean

And even a much greater ORIGINAL plot with great acting from interestingly complex characters.

Box office gross does NOT equal quality. No one can determine this but I think it had most likely had to do with visuals that was not done before and word of mouth spread, 3-D re-releases etc etc.

And about Gravity, i have heard it's a really great 3-D experience, but what about the story and stuff? Is it interesting?
