q2 part ii) he ran 20 m from 20-24. and he ran 20*7 from 0-10 seconds. so add them to get the distanc he moved in forward direction.

We dont get correct answer when u take initial velocity as 8 :/

you are talking about displacement of B when A has reached maximum height?
you can't use that formula without finding final velocity of B at the point when A is maximum. initial velocity is 8 but final velocity is not zero for B.
