I heard few saying that reciting is not that important, listening gains more reward. So was a bit confused, and np i'll research on it

can't be, ther are quite a number of ahadith on virtue of reciting the quran.. including that kiramun barara one.. I'll reply to u if I can find the time and info,. inshaAllah...

Well I've the same confusion, I do both. Recite a few pages after fajr and then listen to it till the sun rise. It's awesome: you can download it with translation here

Abu Umaamah related that the Prophet said: “Read the Quran, for indeed it will come on the Day of Standing (Judgement) as an intercessor for its companions.” [Muslim]

‘Aa'ishah related that the Prophet said: “Indeed the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. or if u r chopping of vegitables in kitchen or driving, u cant read but you can listen so do that...
that's my opinion.
