PLEASE help!!!

for papers 1,3 and 6 any subject (e.g. Physics or chemistry) what grade should be scored on each component to grantee an A* . or if this question isn't clear can someone explain me this statement in the grade threshold paper "Grade A* does not exist at the level of an individual component" and...

use of specimen papers

Assalmualykum, may i ask a question,what is the specimen paper supposed to represent ?, does it represent how the exam pattern and question types/difficulty will be, if not can i have some detail :D thanks!!!
